A new partnership with the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis provides an opportunity for growth for Joseph Maley Fitness
We are pleased to announce a new partnership wit the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. The first phase allows the Joseph Maley Fitness adaptive swimming program to expand its reach by using YMCA facilities across central Indiana. This partnership will continue to grow throughout the year with additional programs such as Joseph Maley Family Support, which supports families in multiples ways as they navigate life with a child with disabilities, offered at YMCA locations. The Joseph Maley Foundation will also provide professional development opportunities for YMCA staff and administration through training and workshops on disability awareness.
Joseph Maley Fintess celebrates the abilities of every athlete involved, and gives all athletes opportunities to participate in various activities that can be adjusted to meet their unique needs. Joseph Maley Fitness athletes have enjoyed the use of the pools at Hendricks County Regional and Ransburg YMCAs in prior swimming seasons. The addition of Baxter, Irsay Family at CityWay and Jordan YMCAs provides greater flexibility to families in selecting a location for their athletes.
”We are thrilled to be able to offer YMCA pools for the Joseph Maley Foundation’s adaptive swim program,” said Amanda Moore, Director of Leadership Development and Diversity, Inclusion and Global Strategies, YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. “We welcome people of all abilities at the YMCA. With additional training and support from the Joseph Maley Foundation, our staff will be better equipped to listen to and address the needs of all of our guests.”
We are looking forward to growing this partnership through 2018 and beyond and are thankful to the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis for the opportunity to serve even more children and athletes of all abilities.
