Now, more than ever, Joseph Maley Foundation recognizes the need for social-emotional learning opportunities for everyone. During this time of social distancing, students may be experiencing an increase in anxiety, stress, loneliness, and fear.
With our mission in mind, JMF has created free e-learning materials that we are excited to share with our partners and families. This fun, interactive content can be utilized as supplemental material for your child’s e-learning schedule and will be a valuable social-emotional resource for your family. Joseph Maley Foundation e-learning lessons incorporate aspects of both our HOPE and disABILITY Awareness programs.
We encourage you to check out the three available lessons provided below.
- Self Care Jar – This activity teaches students about the importance of self-care and shares an on-going, interactive strategy for tracking self-care.
- Yes, I Can! – This lesson emphasizes the importance of having a growth mindset and encourages students to practice changing their thinking from “No, I Can’t” to “Yes, I Can.”
- Brain Breaks and Calming Activities for Everyone – This resource shares easy, fun, and calming activities that can be incorporated throughout the day to promote mental and physical health.
Follow JMF social media (twitter, facebook, and instagram) for glimpses of these activities in action over the next month! We’d love to see pictures and hear stories of how you utilize these activities with your family, so please share and tag Joseph Maley Foundation!
