If you’d like to be a part of building a more inclusive and accepting Greater Indianapolis, please see our volunteer opportunities below.
Program Speaker
Joseph Maley Foundation speakers serve as an integral part of our education programming, sharing lived experiences as they relate to our program focus areas. If you are interested in finding out more about being a speaker, please contact Education Manager, Marla Wald at mwald@josephmaley.org
Educator Professional Development Opportunities
This summer, Joseph Maley Foundation partnered with Globo Language Services to provide a session entitled “Practical ASL Applications for the Classroom”. Participants learned the ASL alphabet and signs they can use to communicate with all students. For more information about professional development opportunities, please contact Stephanie Becher at sbecher@josephmaley.org
Fitness
Joseph Maley Foundation has specially designed running/racing wheelchairs available for use in local racing events. The chairs allow athletes with disabilities to pair with a runner or walker as they train for and compete in a variety of racing events, such as 5Ks, marathons, or triathlons. We are seeking volunteers who are interested in pushing chairs for athletes with disabilities. For more information about volunteering, please contact Vivian Maley at vmaley@josephmaley.org
